Unitree A2 and A2-W frequently asked questions

A2 or A2-W: which one should I choose?

The legged A2 is the most versatile at crossing obstacles and has the longest walking endurance (over 5 h unloaded). The wheel-legged A2-W is faster (peak around 6 m/s) and covers more distance (around 35 km unloaded) on sites where it can roll, while keeping the ability to cross obstacles.

How much can the A2 carry?

Around 100 kg static and around 25 kg in continuous walking, up to around 35 kg in ideal conditions. The A2-W offers the same capabilities.

What is the battery life, and can it be extended?

The A2 walks for over 5 h unloaded and over 3 h with 25 kg. Its two batteries are hot-swappable, one at a time, without stopping the robot: with spare batteries, the mission never stops.

What is the difference between the standard and PRO versions?

The PRO adds a second LiDAR at the rear, protection up to IP67 on the main components, and built-in GPS, 4G and wireless vector tracking module, which are optional on the standard version. It is the basis for custom industry solutions.

Does the A2 work in bad weather?

Yes. It is IP56-rated (up to IP67 on the PRO) and operates from -20 °C to 55 °C.

Can I see the A2 in a demonstration?

Yes. DART Solutions runs demonstrations at your site, helps you choose the configuration and accessories, and trains your teams.
